MAC Volunteers Glam It Up for 9th Year

EAC Network’s Nutrition Education & Food Services teammates, Estefani DeVargas and Rosella Fuscaldo, glammed it up with MAC Volunteers on World AIDS Day. For the 9th year, our friends at MAC cosmetics turned our food pantry from drab to glam – we can’t thank them enough for sharing their love on this special day!

MAC Volunteer Stock Shelves for People Living with AIDS

Once again our incredible friends from MAC Cosmetics came to the rescue of our food pantry for people living with HIV/AIDS in Nassau County. Quick as super heroes, they unloaded a truck stuffed with cases and cases of nutritious food. Three hours of unpacking/labeling food and stocking shelves later, they were gone, leaving the pantry filled to the brim. Thank you, MAC volunteers!

4 Strategies for When Your Toddler Enters the “Mine” Stage

It is a perfectly normal part of development for toddlers to believe that everything is “mine.” As children learn about themselves as individuals with characteristics that are both similar and different from others, a conflict arises.  At this time, sharing is not a focus for them, as they are more concerned with their own desires.

World Poetry Day

Today, March 21, is World Poetry Day! Every year on March 21 we celebrate the unique capacity that poetry has to capture a message. This day promotes the study of poetry in schools, reinforces the connection between poetry and the other arts, and encourages young and old to take a hand in writing poetry.
