EAC Network hosts several signature experiences each year. Show your support by attending, joining a committee, and/or sponsoring an event.
Intern/Volunteer
EAC Network’s interns and volunteers can gain in-the-field experience at our programs and in Administration. All interns can receive college credits. Below are some of our more readily available volunteer opportunities. If you’d like to explore additional ways to volunteer, please email development@eac-network.org.
Become a Mentor
Our Chance to Advance program needs volunteer mentors to be matched with youth in foster care to act as a positive role model and introduce them to constructive opportunities. For more information on mentoring, contact Demishia Owens at (631) 648-2700 or demishia.owens@eac-network.org.
Deliver Meals
Our Meals on Wheels program relies significantly on volunteer drivers to deliver meals to homebound seniors. To learn more about becoming a volunteer driver, please call (516) 227-8934. Additionally, Meals on Wheels seeks volunteers to offer friendly visits to seniors, which provides positive socialization for those who live alone. Be a Companion
Our In-Home Respite Services seeks volunteers to become companions to older adults for 2-6 hours a week. Beisdes keeping seniors safe in the absence of their caregiver, you would offer friendship, engage in games and activities, prepare a light meal, and offer additional support. Supervise Kids
Our Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court needs volunteers to help supervise the children at the Center while their parents attend to court business. For more information, contact Jacqueline Dwyer at (631) 853-4509 or jacqueline.dwyer@eac-network.org.
