Recently, Donna Buccellato, Elder Abuse Educator for the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBS), conducted a presentation for the team in our In-Home Respite Services program. The feedback was very positive, as the workshop created greater awareness of the complicated issues surrounding elder abuse and will also allow our companions to be more alert to problems they may encounter in clients’ homes.
It was Christmas in July at our Child Advocacy Center (CAC) recently, as the Rose family, who hosts a pajama drive in the winter for our children who have been abused, stopped by to drop off more pajamas for our children in need! Thank you, Rose family!
