President & CEO Lance W. Elder Retires After 22 Years of Service

Lance W. Elder

Our President & CEO Lance W. Elder retired on July 1 following a 22-year career serving the community on behalf of EAC Network. All of us at EAC Network are grateful for his contributions, which have helped us to Empower, Assist, and Care for vulnerable individuals throughout Long Island, New York City, and parts of Rockland County. Join us in supporting the legacy of a true leader.

EAC Network Flourished Under Elder’s Leadership

During Lance’s tenure, our agency flourished, nearly doubling the number of individuals we serve and the number of programs we provide. Today, we deliver over 100 vital programs and direct support services to more than 80,000 vulnerable New Yorkers.

One of the many highlights of Lance’s career is the development of the Mary & Pat Bagnato Suffolk County Children’s Center in Central Islip. Since 2010, the Center has been helping to reduce the trauma of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, and neglect, while promoting the coordinated prosecution of offenders.

He Built an Extensive Network of Partners and Supporters

Lance joined the agency in 1998 when it was known as the Education & Assistance Corporation. In 2013, our agency officially became EAC Network, a human services agency with a commitment and mission to Empower, Assist, and Care for people in need through an extensive network of community partners and supporters. Throughout his career, Lance Elder helped us advance our mission by establishing and cultivating many deep friendships within the community.

Celebrate Elder’s Service to the Community

A formal retirement celebration for Lance will take place at the agency’s Golf for Good event at Fresh Meadow County Club on Monday, May 17th, 2021. Until then, we invite you to join with us in extending best wishes to Lance for a wonderful new chapter in his life.
