Emotional Wellness Book Club at 60 Plant Ave
In promotion of EAC’s agency-wide wellness initiative, the 60 Plant Book Club was created. The 60 Plant Book Club welcomes avid book readers, novice book readers, first-time book clubbers, middle of the road book clubbers, and expert book clubbers. Studies have shown that reading can reduce stress and improve mental health and emotional well-being. Book Club provides a healthy space to allow for exploring, laughing, crying, relaxing, and a place to get away, even if it is only for an hour. The book club allows for more understanding of what others are experiencing and may give insight to other cultures and values. How is the book selected? The group submits their choice of book for consideration and the book with the most votes, wins! The 60 Plant Book Club meets every 4-6 weeks at a local park
