Trained Crisis Counselors Available to Suffolk County Residents
NY Project Hope’s team of trained crisis counselors provide a vital lifeline to Suffolk residents through a variety of easily accessible services, including:
- Public virtual support groups via Zoom
- Private support groups to meet specific needs of target groups by request
- An emotional support helpline
- Public education sessions
NY Project Hope also provides community resources and referrals as needed. You may even be able to connect with our crisis counselors at various events across Suffolk County, including vaccination sites and farmer’s markets!
Public Education and Support Group Sessions for Businesses, Schools, and More
With the constant changes and transitions New Yorkers are experiencing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many are feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, or even anxious. The NY Project Hope crisis counseling team can provide public education or support group sessions for organizations, businesses, schools, and camps by request on various topics, including:
- In-depth information about the NY Project Hope crisis counseling program
- Coping skills and techniques to handle challenging emotions
- Stress management
We will also be offering virtual support groups via Zoom on a weekly basis on the following topics:
- Coping with grief
- Motivational moments for managers
- Yoga and wellness
- Coping with change
