Newsday generously provided a substantial donation of Brain Benders Monthly, a charming puzzle-based publication, to EAC Network’s programs.

The monthly publication offers readers of all ages dozens of entertaining brain teasers, crossword puzzles, sodoku, and more. Each puzzle book contains a special section for engaging children and teens.

Clients from EAC Network’s children’s program such as the Child Advocacy Center, Safe Start, Alternatives for Youth, as well as adult programs like Transitional Case Management and Health Home Care Coordination will be given the chance to exercise their minds thanks to these handy little puzzle books.

“We’re grateful to Newsday for providing our clients with Brain Benders Monthly,” said Andrea Ramos-Topper, Division Director of Children’s Services. “These challenging brain teasers will give our clients a form of entertainment, as well as respite from the daily obstacles they face.”

EAC Network’s mission is to respond to human needs with programs and services that protect children, promote healthy families and communities, help seniors, and empower individuals to take control of their lives. The organization has grown tremendously since its inception in 1969 and now offers over 70 diverse programs that address many of society’s core problems. People’s lives are being destroyed by addiction, families continue to struggle to overcome poverty, abuse, and neglect, and seniors face isolation and abandonment.
