Grainger Grants EAC Network $5,000 in Support of Four Local Programs to Protect Children

Tom McCausland, Manager, Branch Network – Long Island, Grainger; Lance W. Elder, President & CEO, EAC Network

Hempstead, NY – December 12, 2017 – EAC Network is proud to announce that industrial supply giant W. W. Grainger, Inc. has awarded EAC Network with $5,000 in much-needed support for four of its Children & Youth programs:

  • Safe Harbour, which protects and cares for children who have been, or who are at risk of being, sexually exploited or trafficked;
  • Safe Start, which promotes the safety and education of all occupants riding in motor vehicles in order to reduce the number of children riding unrestrained;
  • Project Access, which facilitates non-custodial parents’ access to visitations with their children;
  • and Family Treatment Court, which offers safe, supervised visitations between children and their non-custodial parents in cases where parents have been found neglectful as a result of alcohol and/or substance abuse.

“These programs alone impact approximately 1,500 at-risk, vulnerable children across Long Island,” said Lance W. Elder, President & CEO at EAC Network. “We are deeply grateful to Grainger who has helped us strengthen parent-child relationships, ensure child passenger safety, and protect vulnerable youth from exploitation.”

“Grainger is proud to be a member of this vibrant community,” said Tom McCausland, Manager, Branch Network, Long Island at Grainger. “We applaud EAC Network for their many valuable contributions and wish them continuing success.”
