On a day to day basis, what are we doing for others? Do we take the time to volunteer? Do we donate time, goods, or funds as much as we should? It’s not that we don’t want to—life is just so busy that we forget, or think we don’t have the time.

For many years, Toys for Tots in our local area, under the leadership of Major Chuck Kilbride, has supported the children in our programs with thousands of toys. We want to thank Toys for Tots for their years of support!
Families at George A. Jackson Elementary School had a generous solution to excess Halloween candy—they donated it to less fortunate children at EAC Network!
For the month of July, EAC Network is partnering with Men’s Wearhouse once again to launch the 10th annual National Suit Drive, a month-long initiative that collects gently-used professional clothing for individuals transitioning back into the workforce.
It is difficult at times to feel like we can make a difference. We feel overwhelmed by the negative events we hear about in the news and think there is little we can do to help. However, when we have the ability to make an impact, no matter how small, it’s imperative to act. Making a difference doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, and it’s true, no problem can be solved instantaneously. We have to work together. Helping others starts with spreading kindness. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth it.
I would do anything for my children. They are my world. I have three young daughters, who, as you can probably imagine, can be quite a handful sometimes. However, I wouldn’t trade them for anything, because I know what it’s like to live without them.
