Tania Peterson Chandler, Esq., MPA, SHRM-CP Promoted To EAC Network’s Chief Operating Officer 

April 27, 2021, Long Island, NY – EAC Network, a leading human services agency that serves 43,000 people in need throughout Long Island and New York City, is pleased to announce that Tania Peterson Chandler, Esq., MPA, SHRM-CP,  has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

Richard M. Kessel, EAC Network’s Chairman of the Board, said, “We thank Tania Peterson Chandler for her extraordinary commitment and interim leadership after Lance W. Elder’s departure. In spite of the many challenges presented to EAC Network during the COVID-19 pandemic, she continually identified innovative ways to deliver critically needed programs and direct support services for people in need. We are grateful for her dedication in making our work possible, and are pleased to announce her promotion to EAC Network’s Chief Operating Officer.”

Tania Peterson Chandler has 25 years of experience working in not-for-profit social services. She joined EAC Network in 1997 as a Court Liaison for the Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) alternatives to incarceration program. Over the years she took on various roles, with significant leadership management and supervisory responsibility, including maintaining the position of Vice President of Operations while also acting as Interim President & CEO during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Peterson Chandler has a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a Master of Public Administration degree from the City University of New York’s John Jay College of Criminal Justice. While working full-time, she also completed a a Juris Doctorate from Rutgers School of Law. She is a member of the New Jersey and New York State Bars and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Additionally, she holds an Executive Education Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the Fordham Graduate School of Social Service, a Financial Success for Nonprofits Certificate from eCornell of Cornell University, and is currently attending the NYS Citizen Public Health Leader Training Program. She is a member of the Town of Hempstead/City of Long Beach Local Workforce Development Board and represents EAC Network on the Suffolk County Multicultural Advisory Committee.

As Chief Operating Officer for EAC Network she will oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all programs, multiple and varying contracts and related services, promote collaborative relationships between program areas, and ensure that the expectations of funders, clients, and stakeholders are met.

Tania resides in Queens, New York with her husband Bryan and their son Kaden.
