Hempstead, NY – November 29, 2017 – EAC Network is excited to announce it received a $10,000 grant from The M.A.C. AIDS Fund in support of the human service agency’s Nutrition Education & Food Services program (NEFS). Jeanine Vespucci, M.A.C Cosmetics’ Long Island & Queens Manager of Retail Operations, and Cesar Silva of M.A.C Cosmetics, presented the check to EAC Network’s Carol O’Neill, Senior Director of Senior & Nutrition Services, Estefani DeVargas, NEFS Case Manager, and Lance W. Elder, President & CEO.

NEFS improves the lives of people living with AIDS (PLWA) by providing nutrition education and healthy food through its Hempstead-based food pantry and home-delivered meals.  It is the only food pantry in Nassau County that specifically and exclusively caters to the PLWA population.

M.A.C. Cosmetics volunteers restock and organize EAC Network’s Nutrition Education & Food Services pantry, the only food pantry in Nassau County exclusively serving people living with HIV/AIDS

“We are deeply proud of our long-standing relationship with The M.A.C. AIDS Fund, who has been such a staunch supporter of ours for many years,” said Carol O’Neill, Senior Director of Senior & Nutrition Services at EAC Network.  “Plus, the wonderful M.A.C. volunteers are like family and we can’t imagine our world without them. We value their friendship and extraordinary support that helps us to feed and nourish the most vulnerable of people living with HIV/AIDS.”

Most recently, volunteers from M.A.C. Cosmetics restocked and organized NEFS’ food pantry with non-perishable foods that will feed clients throughout the upcoming holiday season.
