EAC NETWORK’S COHALAN CARES FOR KIDS OPEN HOUSE

EAC Network's Safe Harbour helps child sex trafficking victims

EAC Network will host its Cohalan Cares for Kids Open House on August 5th, at the Suffolk County Bar Association, to raise awareness and support for its Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court.

Who: EAC Network is a non-profit human services agency that responds to human needs with over 100 programs and services throughout Long Island and New York City that protect children and youth, promote healthy families and communities, help seniors, and empower individuals to regain control of their lives.

What: EAC Network’s Cohalan Cares for Kids Open House will bring awareness to its Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court in Central Islip. The Children’s Center provides a safe, supervised, and nurturing environment for children to engage in fun and educational activities while their parents or guardians attend to court business. The Open House will feature a wine wall, raffle, and serve ice cream and lemonade.

Where: Suffolk County Bar Association, 560 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, NY 11788

When: Thursday, August 5th, 2021 / Drop by any time from 12 Noon to 6:00 PM

Why: The courtroom is no place for a child, and childcare can be both unaffordable and inaccessible to all community members. The Suffolk County Children’s Center at Cohalan Court is a vital service that helps parents, especially low-income individuals, to receive free childcare by trained professionals. EAC Network’s Children’s Center promotes literacy, and provides additional community resources to parents and guardians including legal assistance, domestic violence programs, parenting classes, and much more. The Cohalan Cares for Kids Open House will bring awareness to the Center’s mission and the families it helps.

Donations Being Accepted: Donations of new board books, gifts of personal protective equipment (PPE), online donations, and items on an Amazon Wish List, are being accepted.
