Once again, MAC Cosmetics volunteers made a difference for EAC Network’s Nutrition Education & Food Services pantry. Over the past 15 years, this small army of enthusiastic MAC volunteers has worked their magic by donating thousands of hours for our food pantry and making a difference for People Living with HIV/ADS.

Distracted driving is defined as any activity that takes your attention away from the road. Texting and talking on the phone divert your attention away from driving and significantly increase the risks of a serious accident occurring. In just one year, Long Island has seen a 27% increase in the number of fatalities caused by distracted driving.
It is a perfectly normal part of development for toddlers to believe that everything is “mine.” As children learn about themselves as individuals with characteristics that are both similar and different from others, a conflict arises. At this time, sharing is not a focus for them, as they are more concerned with their own desires.
Every year we recognize World AIDS day on December 1. It’s a day to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS, and to recognize those who have passed away. Volunteers from M.A.C. Cosmetics came to EAC Network to help at Nutrition Education & Food Services, which improves the lives of individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Each year, Chance to Advance awards scholarships from $2,500 to $5,000 for youth enrolled in the program to assist with the cost of college education or secondary school expenses. Melisa, a Chance to Advance scholarship recipient in 2016, recently shared the impact the scholarship has had on her academic progress and her future career goals.
