For the month of July, EAC Network is partnering with Men’s Wearhouse once again to launch the 10th annual National Suit Drive, a month-long initiative that collects gently-used professional clothing for individuals transitioning back into the workforce.
Get excited, because Over the Edge is this Saturday, July 1, at the Tower at Nassau Community College! What’s Over the Edge, you ask? It’s an exciting fundraiser where our participants, or “Edgers,” rappel 13 stories down the Tower and raise money for our 70+ programs!
Each year, Chance to Advance awards scholarships from $2,500 to $5,000 for youth enrolled in the program to assist with the cost of college education or secondary school expenses. Melisa, a Chance to Advance scholarship recipient in 2016, recently shared the impact the scholarship has had on her academic progress and her future career goals.
Every year, the Alzheimer’s Society recognizes dementia, its effects, and what we can do about it. Unless dementia has directly affected your life or the life of a loved one, you may not be familiar with the disease. We provide many programs that serve Seniors & the Incapacitated, and so many of our clients are affected by, or working to relieve the pain and frustration of, dementia.
